A prime blue diamond tulip tints the heart of Business Bay in down-town Dubai.
A stupendous spray of long pointed leaves and inward silky-mauve curving petals rushes to greet the sky. Nineteen storeys of offices are embodied between unfolding ethereal blue glass petals, detached by transparent glass and a powerful silver pistil.
An extraordinary example of contemporary architecture prospers from a calyx-like podium with several splits. The sepals arise dynamically enclosing the bewildering promenade along the covered walkway that surrounds the retail area.
The structure, thus, is composed of a podium that contains a retail floor, two parking levels and a technical floor; and nineteen flexible office storeys that indulge tenants with breathtaking views. Highly efficient, with multiple corners and possibilities, the office layouts are able to serve either multiple or single tenants.
Superb innovation is accomplished with rigorous symmetry.
The result is impressive and yet bears the delicacy of a flower.
The iconic blue diamond tulip that blossoms in the day colours of Dubai’s Business Bay, glows, flaring like a potent bright flame, during the nights.
