MACA – Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Atchugarry

The Pablo Atchugarry Foundation, a non-profit institution created by the sculptor to promote Arts situated in a country complex in Manantiales, Punta del Este nests the MACA museum. A triangular warped surface covers the glassy connection with the existing Exhibition Hall. A spacious naturally lit, fully glazed curvilinear casing of laminated wood structure with metal ceilings houses the sculptures. An intimate, introvert concrete and brick prism, with control over UV light, temperature and humidity, encloses the paintings space. The sharp exposed foundation is a reinforced concrete sculpture in itself.
