Aeropuerto Internacional del Calafate – Comandante Armando Tola 1era Fase



El diseño dinámico del aeropuerto de Calafate es una síntesis entre equipamiento de alta tecnología; materiales modernos como grandes superficies de vidrio térmico y mangas telescópicas de acceso para aeronaves, con paredes de piedra y estructuras de acero inclinadas expuestas sostenidas por pilares revestidos de roca. La geometría angular de la cubierta inclinada cubierta con chapa de doble altura, ayuda a drenar las fuertes nevadas. La construcción paralela a la pista, tiene fachadas diáfanas que se abren hacia el lago y la montaña, y fachadas laterales cerradas por gruesos muros de mampostería revestidos de piedra, perpendiculares a los fuertes vientos dominantes.
